Pan-African Civil Society and Forest Dependent Indigenous Peoples FCPF Capacity Building Program on REDD+ Project
Capacity Building and awareness raising Actions for Southern Civil Society, Local Communities and Forest -Dependent Indigenous peoples, on REDD+ in Africa Project
This is to inform all stakeholders that we received a total of 126 applications from twelve (12) countries by 30th July 2016, the deadline set during the Call for Proposals.
The Regional Recipient organizations, MPIDO and PACJA have commenced the process of reviewing the applications received according to the Selection Criteria agreed between the FCPF and the Recipient organizations. Independent Technical Advisory and Review teams from both organisations will review the applications, and successful applicants are expected to be announced as scheduled on 31st August 2016.
Mpido will review all proposal from Forest dependent indigenous peoples, while PACJA respectively reviews proposals from Southern Civil Society, Local Communities
The selected sub-grantees will be invited to an inception Workshop at the sidelines of the Participants Committee of the FCPF in Accra, Ghana from the 24th -25th September 2016 where Sub-grant Agreements will be signed and training on the requirements of the Sub-grantees and their responsibilities will be conducted.
The workshop will also bring together the national REDD+ Focal Points to ensure synergy with the national level REDD+ actions and plans as well as other actors at regional level for linkages purposes.
